Organization Lab

A new structure can't be decreed from the drawing board. In the Organization Lab, we design structure, processes, and governance with the people who work in them, and test them in short cycles before they apply to everyone.

What emerges in the lab

The starting point is the findings from the Organization Audit. In the lab, they become a new configuration: not as a concept, but as tested practice.

Reflect on leadership in change

rather than “strengthen leadership”

Integrate digital tools & ways of working

rather than “implement”

Curate collaboration

rather than “design”

Let future readiness grow

rather than “secure”

How we work in the lab

  1. Scope

We choose an area, a process, or an interface where the new configuration is tested first. Small enough to learn quickly; important enough to matter.

  2. Designing with those involved

Roles, interfaces, processes, and governance meetings are designed by the people who will work with them. In on-site workshops, deep dives, and offsites.

  3. Testing in cycles

The new configuration runs in day-to-day work. At short intervals, we ask: What holds, what snags, what needs to change? Orientation toward emergence: We follow what is developing right now instead of planning rigidly.

  4. Consolidating

What has proven itself becomes the rule for more areas. What doesn’t hold is dropped before it gets expensive.

What the lab is not

  • not a reorganization concept that others have to implement
  • not a blueprint from another company
  • not workforce planning: You decide who takes on which role

Organization

The path in three stages

Before that: the initial conversation. Clarity on whether to continue, and with what.
