Organization Audit

Can your organization carry what's coming? The Organization Audit makes visible where structure, processes, and governance hold and where they block.

What we look at

Structure

Structures and hierarchy: divisions, levels, roles, and interfaces. Where is responsibility duplicated, where is it missing?

Processes

Processes and communication channels: how work and information flow between management and teams, and where they get stuck.

Governance based on the Viable System Model

The five functions of a viable organization: operations, coordination, control, development, identity. Where are they missing, where do they run twice, where do they block each other?

How decisions are made in your company is not part of it. That is what the Decision Audit examines.

Levels

I look at the organization holistically, across several interwoven levels:

  1. Structure & governance: e.g., based on principles of the Viable System Model (VSM)
  2. Communication & systems: comprehensibility, connectivity, complexity management
  3. Relationships & culture: power, trust, unspoken roles
  4. Context & environment: market, stakeholders, societal dynamics

Approach

  • Exploration & analysis: interviews, observations, context analysis, communication analysis, process analysis
  • Stepping back: mirroring the transformation. What is really happening? Which patterns keep repeating?
  • No ready-made recipes: everything individual, in dialogue, and with a view to the specific system

Result

Findings that show where your organization holds and where it blocks, the most important bottlenecks, and options for an adaptive structure. With them, we design the new configuration in the Organization Lab.

Organization

The path in three stages

Before that: the initial conversation. Clarity on whether to continue, and with what.
